St Andrew Training Event

Schools are currently registering for our Tuesday, August 11 Training Event.  
     Our theme this year is 'Keep the Magic!" ​ Has your attitude turned you into Cinderella or even worse, her ugly stepsister?  Come earn your glass slippers with fun activities designed to help you sustain your enthusiasm!  Meet some fairy godmothers who use their magic wands to help you create a magical classroom.  Your school year can be full of innovative ideas and delight!
     We anticipate offering 4 hours of BFTS staff development and have booked several presenters that are new to our area - as well as some favorites with new presentations.  We hope to see you here!

We were happy to welcome 560 area teachers to our 2014 training event. Our theme this year was from the popular children's movie Frozen - "Love is an Open Door". We were approved for 4 hours of BFTS staff development hours including 4 hours of level 2 training for experienced teachers who take the specific course on Intentional Teaching. We also had Jennifer Daniels as a featured speaker on Interactive Literacy and Music.

Our upcoming training event is planned for Tuesday, August 6. We have just been approved for 4 BFTS staff development hours. Our theme this year is 'Keep Walking along and Singing Your Song!". Attached is registration materials and a list of presenters. Included in our presenters this year is Michael Levine, co-founder of the Learning Groove. Note that the price includes a lunch for participants and a lower price for registrations before 6/15. GPA members get an additional discount. Please join us for another fun event!

An exciting day was enjoyed by 560 teachers from preschools from all over the metro area! "Everybody Counts!" had training options for teachers of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, music as well as preschool directors! JSt. Andrew UMC Preschool hosted the Georgia Preschool Association District 7 Training Event! Teachers earned 4 hours of Bright from the Start approved staff development credit. The church mission team provided a quick lunch with a little help from Chic-fil-a. Teachers from 44 schools visited had a chance to interact with each other and share ideas.

What a fun day! We had a wonderful group of teachers from schools all over the area! It was great to see so many preschool teachers excited about preparations for a new school year! We had participation from 44 schools and 14 different presentations to choose from. We were pleased to offer teacher training credit hours from Bright from the Start!

Over 500 teachers from 42 preschools attended our August 2010 Training Event and earned 4 hours of Bright from the Start approved staff development. Our event was co-sponsored by the Georgia Preschool Association as a district training opportunity.
