Sell - - Buy - - Volunteer!!! September 6 & 7
We need all our parents to help with the upcoming Consignment Sale. The sale benefits the preschool, the church children’s program, the community, and YOU. Some seller spots are still open. Also, we need every parent to volunteer for at least 1 shift. Go to the church website to get a seller number and to volunteer. www.thepumpkinchurch.org
Carpool
Please note that we have a no cut-through rule for parents going to the Keheley Center. There is no need to leave a ‘gap’ in the line at the dumpsters.
If you dislike having to wait in line, try arriving 5 minutes after the hour. The line is moving quickly then and most parents are in and out in a few minutes! We are pleased that our carpools are usually done in less than 15 minutes!
If you arrive early please cut off your engine. The exhaust drifts over our playground! We want our children breathing clean air!
Chapel
Our students (3’s and older) go to a chapel session each Wednesday or Thursday. We sing a lot of songs, have a brief lesson, and use our prayer hands. We will be talking about Creation in August and September.
Tuition
Please contact Kayce Bailey when you have questions at 770-924-4900 or baileys@mylink.net. Please keep up with the envelopes that she sends home with bills and return your check in the envelope. She has carefully made any requested changes since registration so review the notices and let her know if there are any other revisions needed. Notices for the upcoming month will be in your child’s bag around the 1st of the month. Extended day charges for 2’s are not on this bill.
Substitute teachers
We occasionally need a substitute in our classes. If you would like to be on the list, please plan to attend the orientation meeting. We have scheduled a 30-minute orientation meeting on Thursday and Friday, September 13 and 14 at 9:15 in the Atrium of the Keheley Center (inside the front door/glassed in area). If you attended last year you do not have to come again. We will keep you on the list.
Health Forms and Immunization Forms
Please have them in to the office by September 30. We will send out personal reminders if we have not received yours.
Bathroom Time
It would be very helpful if you would make a point of taking your child to the bathroom immediately before leaving home for school. Also, please help us instill the habit of washing hands after bathroom visits! If you walk your child in, please include a bathroom/wash hands session. We advocate using a hand-sanitizer as soon as possible after picking your child up so that germs are not brought home from school.
September 11 Red, White & Blue Day
We are all wearing Red, White and Blue on Friday, September 9, in honor of our country. Classes will be making patriotic projects in class.
T-shirt Day this month August 30, September 10 & 25
We try to rotate the day of the week that ‘T-shirt’ day occurs. It is Ok to wear them any day you choose as well. We just got another shipment of T-shirts and have sent the orders home. If you still need one, contact the office.
School Photos
You will have 2 opportunities in October to purchase school photos. Our usual school photographer will be here 10/4-5. We are experimenting with another vendor that offers an 11X14 ‘portrait’ in black and white. He will be here 10/23-24. You will hear more about these opportunities later in October. There is no obligation to buy from either vendor.
Yoga at St. Andrew Beginners Welcome!!
While your little ones are attending preschool, morning yoga classes are available M & W at 9:30. Evening classes are also available T & Th at 7 PM. For info call 404-578-3228 or email minnie1833@yahoo.com. Classes are $30 per month or $10 per drop-in.
Welcome Breakfast
We hope you joined us for this fun event! We appreciate our board members for making this possible. It will make preschool more fun for parents if you know each other.
