IMPORTANT LETTER TO OUR PRESCHOOL FAMILY

Dear Preschool Families,

Foremost I hope this letter finds you and your family well.

As you know the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.   We are actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation.  We will continue to follow Cobb County Schools for closures.  We will reopen when Cobb schools do if there are no identified cases of COVID-19 among the preschool student body or staff.

We understand that this closure is disappointing and inconvenient for many families.  I have been so impressed with how the teachers have stepped up and tried their very best to remain an active part of your child’s daily learning. We miss your sweet families and are in constant conversations about how we can best serve you while keeping everyone safe.

We would like to address the aspect of our financial responsibilities. As a non-profit preschool, we pay our teachers only when we accept tuition.  To keep tuition low, we operate on very thin margins.  Each year we calculate the money we will need to pay teachers, buy supplies, and keep the building open.  We then divide this expense by 10 months of expected tuition.  The teachers are also unable to collect unemployment because we operate out of a church.  We will continue to pay them as long as the school is financially able to.

For us to continue to pay our teachers we need your help.  I am asking, if you are financially able, to continue paying as if we were not impacted by this unprecedented pandemic.  You may mail the check to 3455 Canton Rd, Marietta, GA 30066 or pay through Venmo. Our Venmo account is @StAndrewUMC-Preschool . Please reach out to us if we can answer any questions.

I know that some of you may only be able to pay partial tuition right now and some of you may be able to pay a little extra.  Everything helps. We will be happy to provide tax receipts to any parent, alumni, or friend of St. Andrew that would like to provide some extra assistance during this difficult time. We will do all we can to support your family and wonderful children through this pandemic.
